BHC Roundup 10/2/24

After last weeks joy it was a tough day for the Ladies 1s as they suffered a last minute 2-1 defeat to UoB after leading thanks to Charlotte Mincher.

The Ladies 2s lost 2-0 at fellow strugglers Lichfield 4s.

The Ladies 3s were granted a 5-0 walkover against Keele Uni. 

Keeper Ellie Hayward was clapped off the pitch after a superb performance against Shrewsbury with the Ladies 4s drawing 1-1, a goal for Izzy. 

Bloxwich Badgers lost a nice friendly game against Beacon Badgers.

Bloxwich Men's 1s promotion hopes are a distant memory after dropping more points against Bromsgrove, losing 2-1 in the final 30 seconds. Matty Whitehouse had equalised from a bullet of a short corner but Bloxwich failed to take their chances in an even game. 

Harry Scott again for the Men's 2s but they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Finchfield also damaged their promotion hopes. 

There was more misery for the Men's 3s as they lost 6-0 against North Staffs.

The biggest success of the day was the Men's development sides. 

The Men's 4s (pictured) travelled to Harborne for a mid season friendly. They won 3-1 thanks to goals from Mia Anderson, Hukham and Panashe Mispa.

Our newly formed 5th team beat North Staffs 7-0 in a 5pm start at EACT. 

We now take a break from league action for half term and return on Saturday 24th February.
